About us

Play Away is a private day nursery offering full-time and part-time care on two independently run sites in Runcorn. Established in 1993 in purpose built premises, the Beechwood based Play Away has grown and has now firmly established itself as a centre offering high quality childcare to families throughout Halton and the surrounding areas. Responding to demand in the local area, Play Away commissioned the building of a second Nursery on Langdale Road. The Langdale Road site opened in 2001. In 2003, the Beechwood building was extended and completely refurbished. Both sites offer day care provision in modern and comfortable surroundings.

The carefully planned and co-ordinated play plans ensure that your baby or child will get the most out of their time with us, both in terms of education and enjoyment. Your involvement in the activities we undertake is encouraged and welcomed and you will have open access to your child’s progress. It is through the close relationship we have with our parents that we are able to promote the Early Learning Goals that will over time help your little one with the transition from nursery to school.
